The amount of physical activity (PA) recommended for the elderly is the same as for
adults aged 18–64 [
]; however, older people are less keen to attend gyms regularly. Exercise group-based
programs led by professionals are effective in increasing PA [
[2]
] but, because of sustainability issues, they often have a limited duration, rendering
difficult the beneficial behavioral modifications to persist over time.- Apóstolo J.
