Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia worldwide but the actual
incidence and prevalence of AF may be underestimated because approximately 40% of
patients are asymptomatic and often undiagnosed until complications occur [

]. AF confers a significant healthcare burden [

], necessitating a much more holistic or integrated approach to AF care, given the
proven beneficial impacts on clinical outcomes [
